Recently we spent Thanksgiving with our family in Howell, Michigan. Sporting her fancy new little dress, our newest daughter Mya, who is five months now, is really starting to interact with everything around her. Waking up and getting a gigantic smile from her is a great way to start the day. Isn't she adorable? The only obstacle we have encountered is that she has been solely breastfeeding this entire time and now she doesn't want anything to do with a bottle at all! Oh well, we are going to keep trying.

Deseray, our oldest, will be eight in March.
With Deseray it took a little while for her to adjust to not being the only child. Now I;m sure that many can relate to that. She has been doing a great jobs as the big sister and is definitely enjoying taking on responsibilities to help out Mom and I. Even something as simple as getting a diaper for us, she has been jumping at the opportunity. I am personally very proud of her. Just last night though we had to make "the move" which meant that now Deseray will be sharing a room with Mya. Up until now Mya has been in our room. Deseray has made it very clear that she doesn't like the idea but there is no other alternative because we live in a two bedroom apartment. She will adjust and it will not be a big deal but as a father it is hard to have to sit her down and explain to her that we just cannot afford a large enough place for her to have her own room. She is such a good kid!! I just had to say that because while talking about this subject she actually somewhat took over the conversation and made me feel better! Kids. What a blessing!
